Episode 3 of Table for Two
2 tb olive oil
1 package of Chicken Shawarma Thighs from Trader Joes
1 package of Middle Eastern Flatbread from Trader Joes or pita bread
Zhoug from Trader Joes
Garlic spread from Trader Joes
2 Persian cucumbers
1/3 cup of feta cheese
juice of half a lemon
salt to taste
Add oil to pan and once hot, add chicken thighs
Let cook for about 4 minutes per side or until each piece has reached an internal temp of 165 degrees. (this varies because some thighs are thicker than others)
While your chicken cooks, combine cucumber, tomato, feta, lemon, salt, and a glug of olive oil.
Toast your pita/flatbread
Time to assemble! To your pita, add a layer of garlic spread, then zhoug, chicken, tomato/cuke salad. And enjoy!
